The High Line - NYC

The High Line, NY

Aptly named, this unique plant-lined public park is elevated above the streets of Manhattan’s West Side. It was transformed into a park from a historic freight rail line. The 1.5 mile long High Line runs for nearly 20 blocks and stands 30 feet over street level.

You can enter the High Line from multiple access points. Start at the southern end, at Gansevoort Street and Washington Street to 34th Street. Allow about 30 minutes to walk the entire length of the elevated walkway and park which features beautifully-designed gardens and world-class contemporary artwork. Free public programs are offered throughout the year.

Hours

The High Line is open year-round, from 12 noon to 8pm.
