Wow… what a year it’s been for London! First the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and now the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. Did you know that London is the first city to host the Olympic Games three times? (1908, 1948 and 2012)
This year’s Olympics are going to be a tough act to follow (especially after Beijing’s spectacular Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies), but no one does “Pomp & Circumstance” (a splendid celebration with ceremony and fuss) better than the Brits. And with the Opening Ceremony being produced by “Slumdog Millionaire” director DannyBoyle, it looks like we’re all in for a real treat!
London is a FUN place to visit, especially during the Summer months. There’s so much to do and see – some of our favorites include: The Changing of the Guard, Buckingham Palace Tours, London Eye (great views over London), Tower of London (Crown Jewels), “Hop-On Hop-Off” Double Decker Bus (a great way to see the city), Thames River Sightseeing Cruise… and fabulous West End Shows!
