Celebrate Super Bowl’s 50th Anniversary in the San Francisco Bay Area – the first time it’s back here since Super Bowl XIX in January 1985. This year’s Super Bowl 50 takes place in the heart of Silicon Valley (40 miles south of San Francisco) in Santa Clara, California at the ultra-modern Levi’s Stadium (home stadium of the San Francisco 49ers) – the greenest and most technologically advanced NFL football stadium in the nation.

In celebration of Super Bowl 50, San Francisco plays host to “Super Bowl City” – a free-to-the-public fan village showcasing the best of the Bay Area. Enjoy a series of fun family-friendly events and NFL-themed activities during the week-long celebration.

Gum Lung Golden Dragon brings luck, longevity and prosperity, Chinatown, San Francisco

Did you know… February 2012 is a Leap Year? According to timeanddate.com,  Leap Years are needed to keep our calendar in alignment with the Earth’s revolutions around the sun. It takes the Earth approximately 365.242199 days (a tropical year) to circle once around the Sun. If we didn’t add a day on February 29 nearly every 4 years, we would lose almost six hours every year. After only 100 years, our calendar would be off by approximately 24 days!
