In October 2017, the devastating fires in Napa and Sonoma touched nearly everyone either personally or through friends and family. As part of the recovery, Napa Valley denizens are ready and eager to welcome visitors with open arms and delicious food and drink. Weeks after the fires, my friend and I ventured to St. Helena and Napa to support the area and enjoy some good food and wine.

Napa Valley California – Tips for a Quickie One-Day Getaway

If you’re visiting San Francisco from out-of-town, plan a quickie one-day getaway to Napa Wine Country.  We love playing tourist for the day and driving up to Napa Valley (located about an hour north of SF). It’s one of our favorite getaways, especially now during the Harvest Season or “Crush” (when the grapes are picked) – late Summer into Fall (August-October).
