Wow… what a year it’s been for London! First the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and now the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. Did you know that London is the first city to host the Olympic Games three times? (1908, 1948 and 2012)

This year’s Olympics are going to be a tough act to follow (especially after Beijing’s spectacular Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies), but no one does “Pomp & Circumstance” (a splendid celebration with ceremony and fuss) better than the Brits.  And with the Opening Ceremony being produced by “Slumdog Millionaire” director Danny Boyle, it looks like we’re all in for a real treat!

2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver & Whistler, BC, Canada

The 2010 Winter Olympic Games are scheduled to open in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Friday, February 12th — and will run until Sunday, February 28, 2010. What a great time to visit Vancouver and Whister. Whistler will host most of the alpine, nordic and sliding events. Note: Big air ski and all snowboarding events will be hosted at Cypress Mountain near Vancouver.
