We’ve been going to the Half Moon Bay World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off for years now – it’s a lot of fun! The pumpkins get bigger every year – and so do the crowds. Last year, Lacey Bryant (Pumpkin Carver extraordinaire) carved an amazing Giant Pumpkin.
Thad Starr of Pleasant Hill, Oregon took Top Prize at last year’s Half Moon Bay World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off. His winning pumpkin tipped the scales at an impressive 1,524 pounds — breaking the 2006 record by over 300 pounds! This year’s event takes place on Monday, October 13th from 7:30-10:30am.
