The Magna Carta
May 7 – June 5, 2011
Don’t miss seeing the Magna Carta (Great Charter of English Liberties) – one of the most important legal documents in the history of democracy – on display now for a limited time only at San Francisco’s Legion of Honor as part of BritWeek 2011. It’s the first public display on this continent in its nearly 800-year history (it was in the U.S. twice before, both times for private events only).
WOW – what a FUN experience! If you’ve ever wondered what it felt like to travel into space and explore the universe, this comes pretty close. We caught one of the shows at the NEW Morrison Planetarium at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park during one of their “Nightlife” Thursdays – which by the way, if you haven’t gone to a Nightlife event yet, it’s a blast! There’s something special about exploring this museum at night – add in music and cocktails… and it’s a party!
What a FUN day out! The NEW California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park recently opened on September 27, 2008. It’s a “must-see” – especially if you have kids!
It’s the only place in the world that houses one of the world’s largest Planetariums, an Aquarium and Coral Reef, a Natural History Museum, and a glass-domed Rainforest — all under the same “Living Roof.”
Treat your family to a fun museum adventure over the Holiday Season – we can’t wait to go back again!
Mark your calendars! This year, Fleet Week San Francisco presents both the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. Last season, over 15 million spectators watched the Blue Angels perform.
San Francisco’s annual Fleet Week event features a Parade of U.S. Navy Ships,
Survey Flights and Practice Air Shows, Blue Angels Air Shows, Canadian Snowbirds, Ship Tours, and more! Don’t miss this FUN event 🙂
If you’re visiting from out of town – or living here in the SF Bay Area – and looking for something FUN to do this Summer with your family, don’t miss a trip to Muir Woods – located in Marin, approximately 12 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. The Giant Redwoods are magnificent and your kids will love the Ladybugs that migrate here every Summer. If you don’t want to hassle with driving and parking, take a Muir Woods Tour. Enjoy Fun Hiking Trails too – there are trails for all levels. Which one is your favorite?
