Red Rocks in Sedona, Arizona
Cathedral Rock, Sedona

It’s easy to see why Sedona attracts so many visitors each year. From oceans and deserts, to volcanic eruptions, Sedona’s famous rock formations have been slowly created for over 350 million years. Spectacular doesn’t even begin to describe the giant red-rock mesas, buttes, spires and pinnacles. Hollywood first featured Sedona’s dramatic red-rock country as a striking setting for one of its Western movies in 1934. Since then, countless movies and TV commercials have featured Sedona’s fascinating vistas as a backdrop. Even Walt Disney found creative inspiration here.

Fun Sedona Attractions

Many curious and so-called “New Age” visitors are drawn to Sedona because of its four mystical vortexes – Cathedral Rock (pictured above), Bell Rock (pictured below), Airport Mesa and Boynton Canyon. Cathedral Rock is Sedona’s most photographed attraction. During a visit to Sedona, we meditated atop Bell Rock and could feel the energy pulsating through our bodies. Go mountain-biking or enjoy a hike along one of Sedona’s many hiking trails. Visit the architectural site of the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Nestled high in the red rocks, the stunning modern church is visited by millions of tourists every year. Stroll around Tiaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village. The popular Mexican-style village is filled with scenic courtyards and fountains, cobblestone streets, specialty shops, art galleries and fun restaurants.
