We took this tour several years ago with my family visiting from London and we all loved it. Our highlight was meeting one of the Rockettes. The tour requires a lot of walking and stair-climbing, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
Radio City Christmas Spectacular Show
If you want to pick one New York City show NOT-to-miss, “Radio City Christmas Spectacular” is the one! Be sure to book well in advance; it’s very popular with locals and tourists alike. It’s well worth a trip to New York City just to see this fabulous Radio City Christmas Spectacular. The fun Holiday musical includes our all-time favorite Rockettes’ performance, the “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers.” During the Holiday Season (October-December), the live animals that appear in the Christmas Spectacular’s Nativity scene, including camels and donkeys, are taken outside and walked around the block (Rockefeller Center) daily at 7am. Even if you’re not an early riser, you may want to check this out. It’s not something you see every day in New York City. 🙂
Radio City Music Hall is located at 1260 Avenue of the Americas (at 6th Avenue, between 50th and 51st Streets) in Midtown Manhattan. Visit their website for more info on tickets, schedules, guided tours and shows.
