Golden Gate Park - San Francisco
There’s a lot to do and see in San Francisco’s beautiful Golden Gate Park. It’s the largest man-made park in the world. At about three miles long and a half a mile wide, it’s even larger than New York City’s Central Park. Golden Gate Park is home to beautiful gardens, meadows, lakes, biking and running trails, a world-class art museum and a spectacular science museum. There’s even a small herd of buffalo! Once on the verge of extinction, today the American Bison (more commonly known as Buffalo) roam their paddock, located just west of Spreckles Lake on John F. Kennedy Drive, near Ocean Beach.
Rent bikes and ride through Golden Gate Park. Bike booths are open daily. They’re located behind the Bandshell and in Golden Gate Park (Kennedy Drive and Hagiware Tea Garden Drive).
