Ghirardelli Marketplace – Chocolatier Demos and Ice-Cream Bar
Watch as Chocolatiers create fresh, hand-crafted milk, dark and white chocolate from bean to bar. These exclusive Chocolate Demos are available to the public daily. Ghirardelli Marketplace houses a wonderful selection of Ghirardelli Chocolates and gifts. There’s also an Ice Cream Sundae Bar (similar to the original Ice Cream Parlor, located at the opposite end of Ghirardelli Square). A smaller room off the main seating area offers spectacular views of Alcatraz and San Francisco Bay. Yet another fun place to indulge in an ice-cream treat!
Across from Ghirardelli’s main square (overlooking the park, beach, bay and Cable Car turnaround), street vendors hawk their products. Have fun browsing the stalls and shopping for arts and crafts, souvenirs, T-shirts and jewelry.
