Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center

WOW! Want to see some of the best views of New York City and beyond? Don’t miss a visit to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. Located on the 70th floor, the Observation Deck offers visitors an unobstructed “open-air” 360-degree view of Manhattan. See world-famous landmarks, including The Chrysler Building, Times Square, Central Park, the Hudson River, the East River, Brooklyn Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty. And get the most spectacular view of the Empire State Building.

Open 365 days a year, anytime is a good time to visit the Top of the Rock. Sunset is the most popular – and busiest time at the Top of the Rock. It’s especially busy during the holidays, so expect to wait in long lines. During our last visit, it was so surreal to see the city go from sunset to twilight and have the skyline light up before our eyes.

Once you get to the top, climb the steps to a second-level area overlooking the main Observation Deck for even better “open-air” views . This area has no glass panels. We could have stood there for hours watching the glistening lights over the city. This is the best vantage point to take pictures. 🙂

Get your tickets to the Top of the Rock in advance of your visit. Your ticket allows you to jump to the front of the box office line (the lines can get very long). If entrance is not available immediately, you’ll be allotted a time and your spot in the line will be held for you.

Have FUN in the Big Apple!
